I was hoping to have blogged throughout, but it was just too hectic- 9am til midnight for 10 days. So here's a brief post-mission roundup.
Four churches joined in. What a great expression of gospel unity and partnership. It was good to feel that we were part of something wider than TCH. Thanks CCC for being the host each morning as we received teaching together.
An excellent development on last year was having more and better planned tracks for afternoon

No doubt, the evening Jazz Cafes were even better than last year (hard to beat, as they were outstanding). Very busy and many gospel conversations and existing relationships developed (bearing in mind that we are about a long-term, low key, relational approach to church planting). The team from outside the network were a massive help in supporting us in this. It wasn't hit and run. Well done guys - and thanks.
Two highlights for the week for me:
1] Serving alongside my bro Luke. The last I knew he was a serial backslider, avoiding community and the challenge of the gospel now he is as keen as mustard and a beautiful example of a life transformed by grace. Bless ya bro. You made God visible for me.
2] Desperately trying to explain the gospel for an hour to dear old Kurdish asylum seeker Bak,

In the end I let my phone preach to him for 20 minutes a gospel message in Sorani- his mother tongue- as I sat back and enjoyed a latte.

It was a fantastic week, wasn't it?! I was so grateful God allowed me again to be part of His work in Sheffield, working alongside dear family in TCH. Wonderful to see old friends and wonderful to meet new ones! Much love, Faith
Seemed like a really good and worthwhile week. Was good to be able to join you for a day!
...and I like the idea of the mp3 message on the phone. Where did you get the message from?
