Half time

The score is not good. We're losing. We're tempted to despair.
But it's half time. The end of the game is not yet.

Yesterday, I was one of the many friends and family of dear Steve & Keren from Liverpool joining with them for a thanksgiving for the life and then the burial of their dear little Natalie. She was a twin and only 2 and a half. Everyone there knew that death is not good. Everyone felt a loss. Despair was and is a temptation.

BUT, it's half time.
We are not at the end of the game.
Jesus will return and a new creation awaits all those who know him.
Total (TOTAL!) victory is secure for those who are in Christ, who has defeated all that threatens and spoils by his death and resurrection.

Steve, Keren, Heather, Susie, Harriet and dear little Jamie...IT'S HALF TIME.
