Fully expecting an evening of chai (tea) and gapshap (chat) at the home of our M@slim friend "R", Amer and I eventually caught up with the guys at The Porter Brook. A favourite haunt of theirs. It's always a bit of a double take meeting up with M@slims in a pub. But what a great evening. The talk flowed freely from topics as wide ranging as the human heart and its discontentment to The Da Vinci Code to eternity. One of the guys dreams of winning the lottery. It's an obsession now. So I told him Tolstoy's story "How much land does a man need?". It's a great yarn.
Together we explored the issues surrounding The Da Vinci Code (I'm just reading it)
and arranged to go and see it next week then meet for curry and discuss it again!

A lot of fun. Lots talked about. Friendships deepened.

Mine was a J2O.
