What about some of the team moving onto somewhere like this?

I thought TCH was already trying to reach the marginalised on the Manor estate? Why not move up there with them, and plant a church as one team?
...but if the manor estate work is going well and strong and the team up there is growing then why not plant somewhere new where the people are just as spiritually needy even if they are more so physically too? If you've got the resources, then why not? Praying you'd receive wisdom and clarity, boldness and discernment.

A good question. And -bb- gives a great answer. There are needs on the Manor, partic for leadership, but it would be a missed opportunity to merge a wonderfully functioning churchplanting team ('TCH On The Hill') who are very distinct and geographically ill placed for the Manor but not for ministry for around S3. Geography is quite key in planting I feel. As many as poss of the team need to be there where you plant.

yeah, geography must be really important...doing community is about sharing lives and expereinces and if you share geographic community the more genuine church community is likely to be
hehe maybe...ok, gonna look at my diary for coming to visit in the next few months...then after that? well, i need to finish my degree first! (a year and a half left...)

What weekend is good for a reccy?
i think the answer that you and 'bb' give is right - there is already a core team committed to the manor and i'm not sure swamping it with 15 more keen christians is the right approach - praps not very low key if we all moved on en mass. and if we didnt all move on then community would be unrealistic. we want small pockets of light in many different dark places.

for the crowded house on the hill the manor would be completely unrealistic. the s3 location is ideal for all members of chrch and woudl mean that we could spend more time there. also, we woudl love to continue our links wth chinese students, which is waht the edward st flats enables us to do.
