An evening at Khayam Persian Tea Room.

London Rd/Abbeydale Rd are such a cool eclectic mix. Three of us from TCH Sharrow went tonight to the new Persian Tea Room to meet up with Fred the owner (An Iranian, Armenian Arab and all round cosmopolitan cool guy) of the latest internationally multifarious eating houses on this amazing stretch of road. (Count them next time you're driving through). I had volunteered Phil (cheers bro!) to wire the place for sound. He had a go on the old hubba bubba pipe first and liked it. Do I look disapproving?! Does he look glazed?!!
Dave drank loads of exquisite tea and we got to know Fred & "B" a bit better.
We've been invited to hang out as church here on Friday. I think that's very cool. Church in a tea room. It could work. Not sure about the hubba bubba pipe though.

Phil looks high as a kite and you look 'mellow'. Oh the hardships of gospel ministry.

Andy looks like he is taking a whiff from the top of the hubba bubba!!

For the record, Phil DID inhale. I did NOT partake.

I was recently at a Yemeni women's party here in the States. They brought out the "Water Pipe" "Hooka" "Hubba Bubba" whatever you wanna call it...I didn't partake, but likely will in the future! :-) I'll have to come visit your church in the tea room! ~ Faith :-)

Just so he's not disgraced (too much) I'd like to make it clear that the substance was perfectly legal.

most amusing! Birmingham is good for the old shisha, cappuccino flavour is very nice, as is apple mixed with mint...is this turning into the equivalent of a drug ring?
