"16 people on team is too big for the ministry to be effective...I don't think we'd get to know each other/be accountable, impossible to do that with everyone. " - "team member"
We are in a crazy position at the moment in TCH Crookesmoor. By the end of the month we'll be 16 strong on our church planting team. That's the core committed, culture shapers. And as the team member above comments, it's too many. There's no doubt household church keeps you thinking! To some of you it sounds mad that we're thinking we're full at 16!
Check here for an excellent rationale of why we do it like this. (Cheers Tim- this swung it for me.)
Planting (dividing into two congregations) is surely the answer. Leadership is an issue. You might pray for us!

What a blessing to have such a great group of motivated people all up for working for God's kingdom! Having kept in touch with the goings-on of the team I now realise that 16 is BIG for church, believe it or not. I know that people were struggling to really get to know and encourage each other effectively. It didnt occur to me that size was hindering that, but thinking about it, its true. What a blessing you all are but time we started thinking about splitting. Sob Sob :-(

Good answer to something I posted the other day! I do think what you are all doing is brilliant. Keep me thinking!
